System Details
This project is situated on a farm in Bosley, between Macclesfield and Leek. The customer recently replaced a farm barn with a new larger outbuilding which he plans to use for additional accommodation as well as storage. We installed 54 Flextron solar panels on the roof, along with a battery storage system which allows the customer to power not only this building but the original farmhouse.
The installation will save the farm thousands of pounds in energy costs, reduce its reliance on the grid, and cut carbon emissions.
Solar Panels on Farm Roofs – The Perfect Match
Farms like the one in Bosley often have large, unshaded roof spaces on barns, grain stores, and cattle sheds, which makes them perfect for solar installations.
For this project, we fitted a high-capacity array of solar panels on a farm roof, carefully designed to capture maximum sunlight and generate renewable electricity throughout the year. The robust mounting system ensures the panels withstand all weather conditions.

Battery Storage for Farms in Bosley
To complement the solar panels, we installed a farm battery storage system. This allows the farmer to store excess solar energy generated during the day and use it later, particularly useful for evening operations such as lighting, machinery, and refrigeration.
